Boys lacrosse: Polsinelli powers Guilderland past Colonie

Two five-goal runs give Dutchmen big cushion

— A pair of five-goal runs helped Guilderland pull away for a 12-7 Suburban Council boys lacrosse victory over Colonie Monday.

After falling behind 4-1 in the first quarter, the Dutchmen went on their first run to take a 6-4 halftime lead. Colonie rallied to tie the game at 7 in the third quarter before Guilderland's second run put the game out of the Garnet Raiders' reach.

Stephen Polsinelli tallied five times to lead the Dutchmen. Cody Dyer contributed four goals and two assists, and Jake Smith added a pair of goals.

Brian Pfiel had a hat trick for Colonie, and goaltender Brendan Deady made 13 saves.
