The Blue Bison (16-6) scored twice with two outs in the bottom of the first inning. Nick Gavin and Tyler Oppelt hit back-to-back RBI singles to put Shaker ahead 2-0 against Guilderland starting pitcher Tim Coppinger.
The rest of Shaker's runs came with two outs in the bottom of the third inning. Garrett Klahr drove in two runs with a single, and Ben Cassillo added a two-run double to put the Blue Bison ahead 7-0.
Guilderland (11-12) rallied for three runs in the top of the fourth inning, but Shaker pitcher Chad Sinko settled down and shut out the Dutchmen the rest of the way to pick up the complete-game win. Sinko allowed four hits and struck out four batters.
Shaker advances to Friday's Class AA final against top-seeded Shenendehowa, which shut out Big 10 champion LaSalle 10-0 in the other semifinal.
